QUALIFICATIONS:

- Registered in good standingwith the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Demonstrated fluency inFrench - required

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The DECE will:
- Collaborate with theclassroom teacher and principal to plan and implement developmentallyappropriate activities that reflect the Full-Day EarlyLearning-Kindergarten Program
- Co-facilitate play-basedactivities that allow students to demonstrate learning related to the fourframes of the Full-Day Early Learning-Kindergarten Program
- Effectively and efficientlyobserve and document student learning using a variety of tools andtechniques to assist the educator in the assessment of the development ofstudents
- Collaborate with theclassroom teacher to promote and maintain a healthy physical, emotionaland social learning environment
- Assume otherduties/responsibilities specifically related to the functions of childrenand the effective delivery of the Early Learning Curriculum as determinedby the Principal and the Superintendent of Education

Compensation:

Salary in accordancewith the current OSSTF-DECE collective agreement Collective Agreement - $25.03 - $33.80 per hour
