ROLE As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare you will, - Provide the required ultrasound service efficiently and effectively for the public in accordance with departmental policies and procedures - Perform a thorough and accurate ultrasound examination in a caring and professional manner - Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare’s (MAHC) policy - Identify various pathologies and acquire additional images, Doppler and measurements when appropriate - Review images acquired to ensure they are of diagnostic quality prior to submitting for reporting - Provide thorough and accurate documentation of technical impressions for the interpreting physician - Notify the interpreting physician of urgent or high-risk findings - Assist the Radiologist with ultrasound guided special procedures Note: Registry eligible personnel may be offered a position prior to completion of registry examinations but must provide evidence of successful completion by date of hire. REQUIRED SKILL(S) & EXPERIENCE(S) - Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of ultrasound techniques in both theory and practice - Sound knowledge of equipment and appropriate skills to operate equipment - Professional and effective communication skills when interacting with patients,
