THE ROLE:

The Director of Finance is a strategic, hands-on finance leader with a strong accounting foundation and demonstrated experience managing the financial operations of a complex, people-focused organization. The successful candidate will build and professionalize the finance function, establish scalable corporate systems and partner closely with the President, Director of Operations, site leadership, the Board, lenders and external advisors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the President, the Director of Finance will lead accounting, financial reporting, planning and analysis, treasury, banking, tax, audit coordination, lender and Board reporting and financial controls. The role will also oversee defined corporate-support functions including information technology, insurance, contracting, procurement, supply-chain governance, vendor administration and shared-service coordination.

Financial Leadership & Reporting

- Lead accounting and financial reporting across all properties and legal entities.
- Own monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, financial controls and scenario analysis.
- Standardize accounting practices, policies, controls and reporting processes.
- Translate financial results,



risks and opportunities into actionable recommendations for the President and Board.

Treasury, Tax & Risk

- Oversee cash management, banking, treasury, tax, audit coordination and lender reporting.
- Support financing, lender diligence, covenant compliance and transaction requirements.
- Oversee insurance, risk management and related regulatory requirements.

Systems & Business Operations

- Modernize financial systems, reporting and workflow automation.
- Oversee technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, continuity and third-party providers.
- Establish scalable processes for contracts, procurement, vendors and shared services

Growth & Integration

- Support M&A; diligence, financing and transaction execution.
- Lead finance, banking, insurance, systems and vendor integration for acquisitions and new entities.
- Build scalable shared-service processes as the organization grows.

Leadership & Partnership

- Serve as a trusted financial and business advisor to the President.
- Partner closely with the Director of Operations and site leadership.
- Strengthen financial understanding and accountability across the organization.
- Lead and develop finance and business-support personnel as the function grows.

ABOUT YOU:

- CPA designation.
- 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience; experience in healthcare, long-term care, seniors living, or another regulated, multi-site environment is an asset.
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and financial controls.




- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial performance to operational realities.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor, develop, and motivate a team.
- Experience with accounting/ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Knowledge of government funding programs and regulatory requirements is an asset.
