- Oversee all accounting functions, including billing, collections, accounts payable/receivable, and trust accounting compliance
- Supervise external accounting providers and book-keeping
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Produce and analyze monthly financial reports, KPIs, and variance analyses
- Monitor firm profitability and matter-level economics
- Manage cash flow and working capital
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and law society financial requirements Firm Operations & Administration - Oversee daily administrative operations, including external HR and IT service providers
- Develop and implement firm policies, procedures, onboarding processes and operational best practices
- Identify and drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs




- Support partners in strategic planning and execution Practice Support & Performance Management - Help implement and manage practice management and financial systems Strategic & Leadership Role - Act as a trusted advisor to the partnership on operational and financial matters
- Participate in firm leadership meetings and contribute to long-term strategy
- Lead special projects (e.g., technology upgrades, office expansion, process redesign)
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement What you must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field or relevant accounting designation.
- 5+ years of experience in operations and/or financial management, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment
- Robust knowledge of accounting principles, trust accounting and compliance, financial reporting, and budgeting
- Experience with legal billing systems, trust accounting, and law firm KPIs is highly desirable
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- High level of discretion and professionalism Salary/Rate Range: $125,000.00 - $155,000.00
