- Be attentive to residents’ needs by ensuring a regular presence in the dining room
i>Supervise staff during handling and preparing foods and ensure compliance with sanitation and public health as well as occupational health and safety standards
- Responsible for the facilities and equipment cleanliness
- Responsible for purchasing products and liaise with suppliers to ensure prompt and accurate delivery
- Implement and oversee food storage and rotation activities to minimize spoilage
- Manage inventories
- Participate in various committees

Experience And Educational Requirements
- 5 years of experience
- Qualified cooking certification administered by a Canadian Culinary Institute or relevant experience
- High School Diploma
- Certification of mandatory training in public health and sanitation: Food Handling Permit
- Knowledge of retirement homes and institutional environment is a plus
Non-Technical Requirements
- Positive leadership skills
- Interpersonal skills and interest to interact with the residents
- Autonomy, dynamism, versatility, multitasking and organizational skills
- Varied culinary knowledge
- Keen sense of customer service
- Flexibility and ability to adapt
