Your Team

Grain & Crop Inputs: The Grain & Crop Inputs Division connects Canadian farmers to markets across the country and beyond. With a network of grain elevators, terminals, and agri-retail locations, we provide crop inputs, agronomic solutions, and grain marketing expertise to help producers succeed.

We are seeking a Facility Assistant (Maintenance) to join our Grain team. This role is responsible for assisting in the overall operation of the facility and achievement of production targets, while demonstrating an exceptionally high level of customer service and providing leadership to other Facility Assistants. This position is responsible for monitoring safe operating procedures and maintaining the corresponding documentation.

Day to Day

- Complete maintenance, repairs, and project work on grain and fertilizer facility equipment.
- Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment
- Clean, lubricate, and complete routine preventative maintenance on machinery and facility equipment.
- Support general facility maintenance and housekeeping to ensure equipment and work areas remain safe and operational.
- Operate equipment as required,



including loaders, forklifts, and locomotives.
- Assist with fertilizer blending and other operational tasks as needed to support facility projects and repairs.
- Follow safe work policies and procedures and maintain a safe, compliant working environment.

What You’ll Bring

- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the grain industry, including grading factors and elevator equipment
- Experience in maintenance and repair of grain elevator equipment
- Trained in Health & Safety procedures and a champion for safe work environment
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work within environment subject to dust and allergens and lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs)
- Post-secondary education preferably in agriculture or business
