Family Law Clerk

Location: Southwestern Ontario

Salary: Up to $90K (Based on Experience)

Key Responsibilities

- Manage family law files from intake to resolution, including deadlines, court dates, filings, and service.

- Draft and prepare pleadings, affidavits, briefs, motions, mediation materials, and correspondence.

- Manage disclosure, Continuing Records, and court documentation.

- Prepare and analyze Financial Statements,



financial disclosure, support calculations, and Net Family Property.

- Prepare materials and assist lawyers with conferences, motions, mediations, hearings, and trials.

- Communicate with clients and proactively identify and address file requirements.

- Maintain accurate, organized files and ensure procedural compliance.

Qualifications

- Law Clerk diploma or equivalent education and experience.

- 5+ years of law clerk experience, with significant Family Law experience.

- Strong knowledge of Ontario Family Law procedures, court processes, and financial disclosure.

- Experience with complex family law matters, including motions, conferences, mediations, and trials.

- Robust analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to manage files independently with accuracy, discretion, and sound judgment.

- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and legal technology/e-filing systems; ACL and DivorceMate an asset.

- ILCO membership or eligibility is an asset.
