Role Description This full-time, on-site Financial Analyst role is based in Toronto, ON.

The Financial

Analyst supports decision-making by preparing, analyzing, and interpreting financial data and reports for internal stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, monitoring budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances, and assessing financial risks and opportunities. The role involves supporting financial planning processes, contributing to financial policy and program evaluations, and ensuring that financial reporting complies with applicable standards and government guidelines.

The Financial

Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams, prepares clear presentations and briefings,



and provides evidence-based recommendations to help maintain accountability and efficient use of public resources.

Qualifications

- Strong financial planning and finance skills, with the ability to contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation decisions.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, including experience interpreting complex data, conducting variance analysis, and providing clear financial insights.
- Knowledge of financial statements and financial reporting, including understanding of public sector or corporate reporting standards.
- Proficiency with financial analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, financial modeling, data visualization tools).
- Relevant post-secondary education in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field; professional designation (e.g., CPA, CFA) is an asset.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-specialist audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, multidisciplinary environment and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Understanding of public sector governance, accountability frameworks, and policy decision-making is an asset.
