What ties it all together are the friendly faces you’ll find along the way, the thoughtful amenities, and the delightful details that make every visit feel personal and unforgettable.This job is posted as part of our seasonal hiring for Spring/Summer, 2026, it will be a full time seasonal role.ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESReporting to the Hotels Manager, the Assistant Manager will provide leadership to entire team at Glacier View LodgeOversee scheduling and training of the front office, Host, and Housekeeping team, working closely with the Front Desk SupervisorsAct as a Hotel Manager during absences and scheduled days offAssist the Accounting Department with group billings and make required adjustments to guest reservationsLearn the procedures of Front Desk Agent and Night Auditor and be available to work a variety of shiftsLearn the roles and responsibilities of both, the Housekeeping team as well as the HostsSupervise the activities of hotel operations and report significant issues to the hotel management team for review and investigationEffectively handle all guest complaints, taking corrective action to prevent recurrence and convert the guest into a repeat customerProvide all frontline staff with tools and training to handle guest concerns and complaints in a consistent mannerAssist the front office teams with overbooking situations, and coordinate room or property movesEnsure all staff are thoroughly familiar with the Hotel’s emergency procedures, and in a state of preparedness for any emergencyCoordination of information with the Housekeeping, Maintenance and Food & Beverage TeamsAnticipate the needs of arriving, and in-house guestsMonitor check-ins for group arrivals or suspected double bookingsEnsure all computer equipment is in working order and request necessary fixes with the IT TeamBe the primary lead to review and respond to online reviews for the hotelsEnsures the Hotels look presentable to welcome arriving guestsEnforces Hotel policies and disciplinary proceduresAssists and orients new arriving employeesCoordinates feedback on all reservation activities with the Hotel ManagersActively balance room inventory on a nightly basis, adjusting for any late day changesREQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenMost tasks are performed in a team setting with the employee acting as a team leaderAble to work with minimal direct supervisionProven computer skillsThree to five years of Front Office experience, with 2 years in a supervisory capacityExperience in office procedures, ordering materials, and schedulingHigh school or equivalent education required, Bachelor’s Degree or related technical school degree preferredAll employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Pursuit standardsAbout Us:We're more than a hospitality and attractions company.
