Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Engineer with a focus on Supply Chain Optimization to join their operations team serving Kimberley. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing supply chain operations, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management, to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics, reduce lead times, and minimize supply chain costs.
- Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and improve efficiency throughout the supply chain.
- Implement and manage supply chain performance metrics and reporting systems.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth and productive flow of goods and information.
- Design and improve warehouse layouts and material flow for optimal efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a specialization in supply chain and logistics.
- Proven experience with supply chain optimization techniques and inventory management systems.
- Proficiency in data analysis, process mapping, and simulation software.
- Strong understanding of Lean and Six Sigma principles.
