The Facilities Millwright is responsible for ensuring that multiple equipment types within the Regional Distribution Center (RDC) are fully operational. The incumbent works in a high performing team that is capable of analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing broken equipment, as well as performing preventive maintenance tasks.

The Facilities

Millwright works with the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor and contractors to coordinate new construction and facilities repair work, all while ensuring that it is completed in compliance with federal and local regulations.

Shifts Available

Day shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Always work safely to protect the well-being of yourself, your team, and those around you
- Monitor key performance indicators and strive to achieve or exceed performance goals




- Fix equipment breakdowns to minimize impact on distribution center operations
- Prioritize work in accordance with business priorities and complete work by scheduled due dates
- Prepare documentation and records to facilitate communication and planning
- Complete preventative maintenance work on-time according to schedule
- Develop and complete projects to drive continuous improvement
- Work collaboratively with other maintenance professionals as a part of a team
- Actively build positive team spirit and engagement through leadership
- Successful candidates must be willing to support Operations in continuous improvement projects
- Snow removal and landscaping duties as required
- Other general facility repairs as required (Drywall repair/painting etc.)

Qualification Standards

- Proven record for complying with safety requirements, and ability to build a culture of safety among subordinates and peers
- Qualification or significant work experience as an Industrial Mechanic or Millwright.
- Consideration will also be given to candidates possessing an Electrician - Construction & Maintenance or an Industrial Electrician Certificate Of Qualification, but these individuals must have supplementary experience or qualifications in the maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Experience with mechanical maintenance, repairs and inspections.
- Solid working experience of mechanical drives
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Can make solid decisions quickly based on limited information.
- Experience managing time and budgets




- Ability and willingness to build rapport and trust with others
- Experience with repairing/maintaining some of the following types of systems or equipment:

- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Materials handling equipment (MHE) including electric lift trucks
- HVAC mechanical systems and building automation
- Dock doors and dock levelers
- Basic Plumbing
- Fabrication and Welding
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex problems; creative problem-solving
- Communicate effectively
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and various technical drawings
- Highly motivated to the team’s success as well as own success

Preferred Qualifications

- Red Seal Certification as an Industrial Mechanic / Millwright
- Mechanical maintenance experience in a distribution center setting
- Ability to operate heavy equipment via front end loader and skidstear
