About the Opportunity
This position is responsible for carrying out a high standard of work relating to the Property Maintenance division at Peter Hughes Landscape. This work includes but is not limited to mowing grass, trimming grass, weeding, debris/garbage removal, hedge cutting, weed spraying,
plant maintenance, watering, snow removal, and assisting other departments as needed. Crew Leaders are also responsible for the on-site training of crew members & lead hands.
- Operate large-area mowing equipment efficiently and safely to maintain commercial and city property.
- Utilize ride-on and walk-behind mowers as needed
- Perform daily inspections on all equipment
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating machinery
- Assist with additional property maintenance tasks such as trimming, edging, and debris cleanup as required
What You Bring to the Table
- Experience operating large-area mowers and other commercial mowing equipment preferred
- Comfortable loading and operating a truck and trailer
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs
