UPS has released a notification in which they’re inviting candidates for the post of Licence Maintenance Mechanic. They must have experience of performing maintenance on conveyor belts. They must have at least knowledge of plumbing and building schematics. They must have knowledge of keyboard and basic computer skills. They must inspect troubleshooting, repairing and/or replacing hydraulic equipment such as hoses, fittings, cylinders and pumps.

- Candidates must inspect troubleshooting, repairing and/or replacing mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings and transfer plates.
- They must know troubleshooting, adjusting and replacing AC and DC electrical equipment such as batteries, control stations, fuses, motor starters, relays, switches and timers.
- They must inspect troubleshooting, repairing and/or replacing pneumatic equipment such as puck sorters, flow splitters, diverters, air compressors, lubricators, hoses and coils.





Job requirement

- Candidates must complete 12 education or equivalent.
- They must have 442A Industrial Electrician Certification of Qualification.
- They need to have extensive relevant experience.
- They must have a minimum 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience performing maintenance on industrial equipment.
- They should have excellent interpersonal skills.

Work setting

- Candidates must have experience in Welding equipment such as handrails, conveyor supports, package handling equipment, carts and grating.
- They must perform preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment such as conveyors, bulk carts, and power industrial equipment.
- They must have the ability to receive and give instruction over radio in an industrial workplace.
