As a Loss Prevention Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, security facility centers, etc.

Responsibilities for Loss Prevention Security Guard

- Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents

- Provide covert security support to identify,deter and apprehend individuals involved in external criminal activities





- Assist in de-escalating disorderly behavourand conflincts within the store

- Theft apprehention must only be made with all five elements are present

- LPO's are required to adhere to the criminal code of canada when apprehending and detaining

- LPO's must always prioritize the saftey of themselves, store employees, and customers while carrying out their duties when making an arrest

- LPO's are to watch suspicious customers and be a deterant

Qualifications for a Loss Prevention Security Guard

- Be authorized to work in Canada

- Hold a valid security license

- First aid certification - {an asset}

- Ability to stand and walk throughout shift

- Prior Loss Prevention experience/training is an asset
