The brightest people. The latest technology. Balance.

Invero is a boutique Microsoft Solutions Partner and trusted advisor to enterprise IT and business leaders. We act as the enterprise architects of the cloud, helping organizations design, govern, and optimize their Microsoft environments across Modern Work, security and compliance, Azure, data, and AI. Our work spans strategy through execution, with deep expertise in Microsoft licensing and commercial optimization, ensuring clients not only build the right solutions, but license and operate them effectively at scale.

About The Role

We are hiring a Microsoft Licensing & FinOps Specialist to help clients make confident, cost-effective decisions across their Microsoft licensing and Azure investments. This is a client-facing, commercially aware role that blends Microsoft licensing expertise, cloud financial management, analysis, and relationship stewardship.

You will support the full Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) lifecycle, from pre-sales strategy and quoting through onboarding, ongoing optimization, and renewal. You will also help clients establish practical FinOps practices that improve cloud cost visibility, accountability, governance, and value.

This role will own and optimize Microsoft licensing and CSP lifecycle activities while serving as a trusted advisor to customers and internal teams. Additionally this role will help clients understand and optimize Azure consumption through clear reporting, cost-saving recommendations, governance strategies, reservations, alerts, and practical FinOps guidance.

What You’ll Do

1) Manage the Microsoft licensing lifecycle (Primary)

- Manage and optimize Microsoft CSP software licensing throughout the customer lifecycle, from pre-sales presentations and initial recommendations through onboarding, changes, and renewals.
- Advise customers on licensing options, programs, and commercial models across Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Windows Server, and other Microsoft offerings.
- Prepare accurate quotes, pricing scenarios, customer contracts, renewal documentation, and supporting commercial materials.
- Coordinate licensing purchases, changes, co-terming considerations, and renewal activities with disciplined follow-through.
- Support CSP agreement lifecycle activities and related administration in Microsoft Partner Center and internal systems.
- Maintain clear records of customer entitlements, commitments, renewal dates, decisions, and outstanding actions.

2) Deliver practical FinOps and Azure cost optimization (Primary)

- Work with customers to develop and implement practical FinOps strategies that optimize cloud costs and improve financial accountability.
- Prepare cloud usage reports and concise executive summaries that explain spend, trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
- Identify cost-saving and governance opportunities across Azure environments.
- Assist customers with Azure reservation purchase planning and with setting up cost alerts and related controls.
- Help customers connect cloud consumption to business priorities, ownership, budgeting, and decision-making.
- Promote an ongoing optimization mindset rather than treating cost management as a one-time exercise.

3) Support sales and customer growth (Primary)

- Participate in customer pursuits, including pre-sales calls, discovery, account strategy, pricing strategy, and proposal development.
- Present Invero’s CSP and FinOps value proposition in clear, customer-relevant language.
- Provide licensing and cloud financial management subject matter expertise to strengthen recommendations and reduce commercial risk.
- Identify opportunities to improve a customer’s licensing position, Azure value,

governance, or broader Microsoft cloud strategy.
- Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders through responsive, reliable, and proactive support.

4) Lead client engagement and education (Primary)

- Guide customers through licensing and cloud cost decisions without overwhelming them with unnecessary complexity.
- Run working sessions and business reviews that turn data into clear decisions and next steps.
- Evangelize FinOps practices within client organizations and help stakeholders understand their role in cloud financial accountability.
- Communicate effectively with technical, financial, procurement, operational, and executive audiences.
- Close loops, document decisions, and maintain momentum across active customer initiatives.

5) Improve processes, documentation, and repeatability (Primary)

- Share knowledge across the team and help build confidence in licensing and FinOps conversations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Microsoft licensing, CSP programs, cloud services, and relevant FinOps practices.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of CSP and FinOps processes, templates, reports, checklists, and customer-facing materials.
- Capture repeatable approaches for quoting, onboarding, optimization reviews, renewals, and executive reporting.
- Identify process gaps or recurring customer challenges and recommend practical improvements.

Why This Role Matters

Microsoft environments are becoming more powerful and more complex. Customers need more than a reseller or a monthly cost report. They need a trusted advisor who can connect licensing, consumption, governance, and business value.

This role helps clients reduce uncertainty, avoid unnecessary cost, strengthen accountability, and make better investment decisions. You will sit at the intersection of commercial strategy, cloud operations, and customer success, turning complex Microsoft information into clear, practical action.

What Success Looks Like (First 60–90 Days)

- Build working knowledge of Invero’s CSP, licensing, quoting, contracting, onboarding, reporting, and renewal processes.
- Become a reliable day-to-day resource for assigned customer licensing and FinOps needs, with appropriate internal support.
- Produce accurate licensing recommendations, quotes, cloud usage reports, and executive-ready summaries.
- Identify and progress practical cost-saving, reservation, alerting, or governance opportunities for customers.
- Establish strong working relationships with sales, operations, marketing, technical teams, Microsoft contacts, and customer stakeholders.
- Support meaningful improvements for recurring CSP or FinOps process, templates, or customer deliverables.

Qualifications we are looking for

- Minimum of three years of experience in Microsoft licensing management, supporting Microsoft customer environments, cloud financial operations, or similar work within a cloud vendor, reseller, consultancy, managed services provider, or end-user organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, finance, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft cloud services and Microsoft Partner Center.

- Practical understanding of Microsoft licensing options and commercial considerations across Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, server products, and related offerings.
- Experience supporting customer-facing work across quoting, pricing, contracts, onboarding, renewals, or account management.
- Ability to analyze cloud usage and cost information, identify meaningful opportunities, and communicate recommendations clearly.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with business, technical, financial, and executive stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple customer priorities, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.

Additional Certifications & Nice-to-Haves

- Relevant certifications, such as FinOps Certified Practitioner or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, are considered an asset. If not already completed, related certifications will be encouraged within the first year.
- Experience working in a Microsoft partner, CSP, managed services, professional services, or cloud consultancy environment.
- Familiarity with Azure cost management, reservations, budgets, alerts, tagging, governance, and consumption reporting.
- Experience producing executive summaries, customer business reviews, or commercial optimization recommendations.
- Understanding of procurement, renewal planning, software asset management, or cloud economics.
- Comfort working with CRM, quoting, reporting, spreadsheet, and documentation tools.
- Experience helping organizations adopt or mature FinOps practices.

Working Style & Attributes We Value

- Trusted-advisor mindset: You listen carefully, understand the customer’s goals, and recommend what is right for their business.
- Commercial judgment: You balance value, cost, risk, licensing requirements, and long-term customer outcomes.
- Analytical clarity: You can turn detailed licensing and consumption information into an understandable story and actionable recommendation.
- Ownership: You follow through, close loops, and make sure customers and teammates know what happens next.
- Attention to detail: You understand that accuracy matters in licensing, pricing, contracts, reporting, and renewals.
- Client empathy: You make complex topics approachable and help customers feel informed rather than overwhelmed.
- Continuous learning: You stay curious and current in a rapid‑changing Microsoft and cloud financial management landscape.
- Collaborative approach: You work well across sales, delivery, operations, marketing, finance, technical teams, and customer stakeholders.

Work Model

Remote-first. The role involves regular virtual collaboration with customers and internal teams. Some customer or team engagements may benefit from occasional in-person participation depending on location and business need.
