Mr. Vaughn’s Virtual Vault is looking for engaging, reliable instructors to join our growing online teaching team!

We offer live online classes for children and teens through Outschool. Gaming and gaming-based social classes are a large part of what we offer, but we are hiring instructors with experience across a wide variety of subjects, skills, and interests.

You don't need to fit into one particular teaching category. If you have knowledge, experience, hobbies, professional skills, or interests that could make an engaging class for kids or teens, we'd love to hear about them.

What You Could Teach

We are particularly interested in instructors with experience in:

Gaming: Roblox, Minecraft, Fortnite, Nintendo/Switch, PC/Steam games, VR, Pokémon, cozy/co-op games, competitive games, tabletop games, and more.

Coding, Technology & STEM: Python, Scratch, Roblox Studio, game development, Blender/3D modeling, STEM, video editing, content creation, and related areas.

Academics: Reading, writing, English/ESL, math, early learning, academic tutoring, literature, and other academic subjects.

Music & Creative Arts: Guitar, piano, music theory, songwriting, art, digital art, animation, creative writing, acting, drama, improv, and other creative skills.

Social Clubs & Enrichment: Book clubs, fandom discussions, social clubs, public speaking, life skills, fitness/movement, and other engaging interests.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for instructors who are friendly, engaging, dependable, comfortable working with children or teens, and knowledgeable in at least one subject, game, skill, hobby, or professional area.

Previous teaching experience is an asset, but you do not necessarily need to be a traditional teacher.



Strong knowledge or experience in a particular area may also make you a great fit.

Instructors should be comfortable teaching online, preparing appropriately for their classes, communicating professionally, and creating a welcoming and inclusive workplace for learners.

Location & Outschool Eligibility

This is a fully remote independent contractor opportunity.

Because classes are offered through Outschool, applicants must meet Outschool's current educator location requirements. Applicants must be 18 or older and a full-time resident (living there at least six months of the year) of one of the following supported countries:

-Australia

-Canada

-Mexico

-New Zealand

-South Korea

-Spain

-United Kingdom

-United States

Citizenship in these countries is not required.

Instructors must also be eligible to complete Outschool's required identity verification, background check, and educator onboarding process.

International Instructors Encouraged to Apply

We are actively expanding our teaching schedule across different time zones so that we can offer classes to learners around the world.

We are especially interested in instructors living in Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Spain, and the United Kingdom whose normal daytime and evening availability complements our existing North American teaching schedule.

You do not need to work North American hours. We're specifically interested in expanding our coverage across different time zones.

Position Details

This is a remote independent contractor position.



Classes are taught live online through Outschool.

Teaching opportunities may include ongoing weekly classes, structured courses, camps, one-time classes, private lessons, and social clubs. Instructors agree to the classes and teaching times they take on, with opportunities based on instructor skills, interests, availability, and learner demand.

Compensation varies depending on the class, class length, enrollment, and teaching arrangement and will be discussed before classes are assigned.

Application Process: Selected applicants may be asked to complete a short teaching-interests questionnaire so we can learn more about the specific games, subjects, software, skills, and age groups they are comfortable teaching.

Pay: $25.00-$65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 15.0 per week
