Join Eat Local Muskoka as a Market Garden Manager, where organic agriculture meets community support. Manage farming operations and foster growth in a vibrant environment. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for all aspects of running our farm located near Fenelon Falls.
Work alongside a dedicated team, implementing essential crop plans and overseeing sustainable practices to enhance our community-supported agriculture program. Candidates must be willing to tackle the physical demands of farming and effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily farm operations and vegetable production
- Develop crop plans and manage harvesting
- Operate irrigation systems and farm machinery
- Train and mentor a team of young farmers
- Build partnerships with CSA and local markets Requirements:
- 2 years of market gardening experience required
- Solid understanding of organic practices
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Possess a valid driver’s license
