Role Description The Powersport Technician is a full-time, in office role located in Dartmouth, NS. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Yamaha and other powersport vehicles, including motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, and related equipment. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine services, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing warranty and non-warranty repairs, and conducting safety inspections.

The technician will also assist with setup and pre-delivery inspections of new units, accurately document work performed, and communicate clearly with service advisors and customers about repair needs and timelines. Maintaining a clean, safe,



and organized workspace and following all manufacturer guidelines and shop procedures are essential aspects of the role.

Qualifications

- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in diagnosing and repairing motorcycles, ATVs, and other powersport vehicles.
- Familiarity with manufacturer service manuals, diagnostic tools, and standard shop equipment.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and complex repairs with attention to detail and safety.
- Good communication skills for collaborating with the service team and explaining technical issues in clear terms.
- Customer-focused mindset, with a commitment to providing reliable service and building trust.
- Capacity to work full-time on-site, manage multiple tasks, and meet repair timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant technical training or certification in automotive, small engine, or powersport repair is an asset.
- Prior experience in a dealership or motorsports service shop is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license; motorcycle license or experience riding powersport vehicles is an asset.
- Willingness to continuously learn, adapt to new technologies, and follow safety and quality standards.
