Purpose of the Position

Lead the proposal function at CDC, responding to various prospective client requests (EOIs, RFQs, RFPs) to secure projects and drive revenue growth.

Specific Responsibilities

- Coordinate proposals from beginning to end, determining deadlines and deliverables to ensure response compliance
- Write and edit proposal content, tailoring responses to the specific client and project being pursued
- Write and edit standard content used for proposals, including staff resumes, project case studies and other supporting information
- Maintain a database of project and client information to be used on future proposals
- Coordinate project photography for use in future proposals
- Create and update sector-specific brochures and marketing materials
- Responding to award applications, when applicable

The Proposal Coordinator also supports the marketing function at CDC, which includes:

- Managing CDC's social media accounts (Instagram and LinkedIn)
- Updating CDC's website with recent project information,



photos and client testimonials
- Coordinate client appreciation gifts
- Assistance in updating design of site signage, vehicle wrap and other visual branding, when needed

Requirements

- 2 - 5 years of proposal experience, within the architecture/engineering/construction industry
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent business writing, editing and proofreading abilities
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign) and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Self-motivated, proactive and organized

Additional attributes that would be considered an asset include:
- Degree or Diploma in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or similar
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools such as Hootsuite, MailChimp and SurveyMonkey
- Experience managing content or communications in a corporate environment
