Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Prosthetic & Orthotic Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, modification, repair, and maintenance of custom prosthetic and orthotic devices under the direction of certified clinicians. This role requires strong technical abilities, craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care through expert device fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

- Fabricate custom prosthetic and orthotic devices from clinician specifications.
- Modify, repair, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic components as required.
- Perform duplications, model rectification, lamination, thermoforming, and finishing processes.
- Assemble, align, and inspect devices to ensure quality and functional standards are met.
- Maintain accurate production records and workflow documentation.
- Operate and maintain fabrication equipment, tools, and machinery safely.




- Assist clinicians with fittings, adjustments, and patient service activities as required.
- Ensure all products meet established quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to meet production timelines and patient needs.

Qualifications

- Completion of a Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician program or equivalent technical training are an asset but not required.
- Experience working in a prosthetic and orthotic fabrication laboratory preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, measurements, and fabrication specifications.
- Knowledge of materials commonly used in prosthetic and orthotic fabrication.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
