About the Role

Our client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join their specialized Oncology Unit in Kimberley . This vital role involves providing expert care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being throughout their journey. You will administer chemotherapy, manage treatment side effects, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of oncologists, specialists, and support staff. Key Responsibilities

- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology treatments according to physician orders and safety protocols.
- Monitor patients closely for treatment side effects and adverse reactions, intervening as necessary.
- Provide comprehensive patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, side effects, and symptom management.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including assessments, care plans, and treatment documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, social workers,



and other members of the oncology team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Offer emotional support and counseling to patients and their families throughout their treatment experience.

Requirements

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in medical or surgical nursing, with a preference for oncology experience.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required.
- Proficiency in chemotherapy administration and management of oncology-related symptoms.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment in Kimberley .
