We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established client in the Greater Vancouver area, in the manufacturing space, for a Safety Associate to join their Quality and Safety team.

This is a hands-on role supporting the company's occupational health and safety program - from safety training and incident investigations to audits, inspections, and day-to-day safety communication across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the development and review of safety programs, procedures, and risk assessments
- Help investigate and document workplace injuries and incidents, and track corrective actions
- Conduct jobsite safety inspections and monitor follow-up on findings
- Assist with the company's annual safety audit
- Deliver safety orientations and training sessions
- Communicate safety policy updates and changes across departments




- Track safety data - training completions, inspection results, incident and near-miss reports
- Schedule and support monthly joint health and safety committee meetings and inspections
- Keep safety certifications, signage, and safety data sheets current

What You Bring

- Diploma or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, or an equivalent mix of education and experience
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial workplace is a strong asset
- Solid understanding of workers' compensation legislation and OH&S; regulations
- Comfortable with MS Office and confident communicating across all levels of an organization
- Experience developing or supporting a safety program is a plus
