Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Science Teacher to join our learning centre team. The ideal candidate will have a solid academic background in science (including secondary-level physics and chemistry) and a genuine commitment to helping students succeed.

This role involves teaching a wide range of concepts, from basic arithmetic to advanced calculus, while also delivering core scientific principles and problem-solving skills in chemistry and physics.

Duties

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to different learning styles.
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Science to students from Grades 8–12.
- Prepare students for school exams, standardized tests, and academic success
- Track student progress and communicate effectively with the centre’s management
- Create a supportive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and organization in all sessions
- Assess student performance through regular testing and assignments, providing constructive feedback to promote improvement.

Requirements





- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science, Education, or a related field
- Teaching certification or licensure in the relevant subject area is preferred.
- Experience in classroom teaching or tutoring, particularly in science, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex concepts to students.
- Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners, including those requiring special education services.
- Ability to teach in-person or online at the learning centre location (not a remote position)
- Familiarity with the Ontario curriculum is an asset
- A passion for educating young minds and inspiring students to achieve their academic goals.
