Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant- Contractor for a 6-12 month contract. Based in their Southeast Calgary office, this role will support financial operations, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This position offers a hybrid schedule (4 days in office, 1 day remote), free on-site parking, and optional chef-prepared lunches.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

- Manage full-cycle accounting, including journal entry preparation, review, and posting

- Monitor, analyze, and reconcile project costs and operating expenses

- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies





- Lead quarterly financial reporting, including financial statements, MD&A;, notes, and supporting schedules for TSX-listed and SEC-compliant reporting

- Apply U.S. dollar functional currency accounting, including foreign exchange and currency translation requirements

- Ensure IFRS and US GAAP compliance through financial analysis, technical accounting research, and audit support

Your strengths include:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

- CPA designation is an asset

- Well versed in IFRS and U.S. GAAP reporting

- Robust communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
