About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Advisor, Controllership to join a high-performing Finance team. This role provides strategic accounting advice, financial stewardship, governance oversight, and technical accounting support across complex business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide accounting, financial reporting and governance advice to business leaders.
- Assess complex and non-routine transactions and provide practical recommendations.
- Support month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, journal entries and internal controls.
- Apply IFRS requirements to complex accounting matters and support significant accounting judgments.
- Identify financial reporting, compliance and governance risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Partner with Finance, Tax, Legal, Operations, Commercial teams and external auditors.




- Support major projects, acquisitions, divestments, restructuring and transformation initiatives.
- Lead technical accounting assessments and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Drive process improvement, standardization, automation and digital enablement within Finance.

Qualifications
- CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with IFRS.
- Experience with month-end close, controls, audits and governance frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and navigate complex/ambiguous situations.
- Robust communication skills with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong technology aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Fluency in both English and French, written and spoken, is mandatory.
- Accounting firm/public accounting experience is a strong asset.
