About the Role

Our client, a prominent real estate development firm, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Advisor specializing in property law to join their team in Kimberley . This role is vital for providing expert legal guidance on all aspects of property acquisition, development, leasing, and disposal. You will be responsible for managing a complex portfolio of property-related legal matters, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, and mitigating risks associated with property transactions. Working in a hybrid capacity, you will collaborate closely with the development, finance, and sales teams, offering strategic legal counsel to support the company's ambitious growth objectives in the Northern Cape .

Key Responsibilities

- Provide expert legal advice on property acquisitions, sales, developments, and leasing agreements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of property-related contracts and legal documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable property laws, zoning regulations, and environmental legislation.
- Manage and oversee due diligence processes for property transactions.
- Advise on land use rights, servitudes,



and other property encumbrances.
- Liaise with external counsel, government authorities, and stakeholders on property matters.

Requirements

- Admitted attorney with a minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience, with a significant focus on property law.
- Deep understanding of South African property legislation, conveyancing, and land registration processes.
- Proven experience in negotiating and managing complex property transactions.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Robust leadership and communication skills, with the ability to advise senior management.
- Willingness to work a hybrid schedule based in our Kimberley office.
