The Prospect - Meeting withinventors to identify their invention’s points of novelty - Draftingforeign and domestic patent applications to articulate the above inwriting - Responding toboth foreign and domestic Office Actions - Monitoringdeadlines/activities related to client IP portfolios - Fostering andmaintaining positive client and colleague relationships - Mentoring, training, and supporting the development of junior patentagents in training - Supporting team priorities and client needs as they arise What You Will Bring - A Class 1license with the CPATA as a Registered Canadian Patent Agent (havingpassed USPTO Patent Bar would also be an asset)



- 8+ years ofexperience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in both Canadianand foreign jurisdictions - An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,Computer Engineering, Mathematics and/or Physics; a J.D. or other applicablelaw degree is not required - Anunderstanding of and experience with AI, cloud computing andtelecommunications technologies - The ability tomeet and manage deadlines - The ability toanalyze complex problems and devise creative solutions - Excellentcommunication skills, especially in writing - Bilingualism inFrench and English would be an asset Why join MBM?

Compensation and Hiring Transparency Compensation willbe competitive and aligned with the successful candidate’s experience,qualifications, and scope of responsibility.
