Elevate operational safety as a Senior Process Safety Engineer in the Northern Cape. Focus on risk assessment and process safety management in a hybrid working environment. Our client is on the lookout for a Senior Process Safety Engineer to join their team.
This role is critical in identifying and mitigating process-related risks in oil and gas facilities. You will develop safety management programs, conduct hazard analyses, and ensure adherence to relevant industry standards while collaborating with engineering teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Process Hazard Analyses, including HAZOP and LOPA
- Create and uphold Process Safety Management programs
- Review and advise on facility design for process safety
- Lead investigations into safety incidents and near misses
- Deliver training on process safety best practices Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of process safety engineering experience
- Robust knowledge of PHA methodologies and risk assessment
- Understanding of relevant industry standards (e.g., API)
