Role: Salesforce Functional Lead

Location: Toronto, ON – 4 days/week onsite

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Salesforce Functional Lead to join a leading banking client in Canada and contribute to one of the largest Salesforce CRM platforms in the organization.

You’ll work within a diverse and inclusive Agile lab delivering solutions on Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC). The team is building a next-generation CRM Advisor Platform as part of the organization’s journey toward becoming a digitally enabled relationship bank.

The ideal candidate is a curious problem solver with strong Salesforce expertise, financial services experience, business acumen, and proven experience leading enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Engagement & Requirements:

- Partner with stakeholders across Retail, Commercial, Advice Centre, Operations, Risk & Compliance, Private Banking, and other functions.
- Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and walkthroughs.
- Translate business needs into well-defined functional requirements and Epics.
- Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
- Ensure Salesforce solutions align with business objectives.

Strategic Solutioning:

- Apply Salesforce Financial Services Cloud best practices to develop strategic solutions.
- Configure Salesforce Proofs of Concept in demo environments for stakeholder alignment.
- Present solutions to Architectural Design Review Boards when custom components are required.
- Assess dependencies across legacy backend systems and data warehouses.




- Design scalable and reusable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, compliance, and data governance requirements.

Delivery Oversight:

- Guide functional designers in translating requirements and solution specifications into actionable user stories.
- Partner with Product Owners and Technical Leads to manage and prioritize backlogs.
- Define KPIs, success metrics, and acceptance criteria tied to business outcomes.
- Support development, configuration, and integration teams throughout delivery.

Continuous Improvement & Adoption:

- Identify opportunities to optimize business processes and reduce manual handoffs.
- Drive automation using Salesforce capabilities.
- Partner with Product Owners on change management and training initiatives to support successful adoption.

Required Qualifications:

- College, university, or postgraduate degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience as a Salesforce Functional Lead.
- 3+ years of financial services/banking industry experience.
- Proven experience delivering Salesforce solutions at enterprise scale within highly regulated environments.
- Solid understanding of banking workflows, customer/product lifecycles, and financial compliance.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, including Sales and/or Service.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with core banking systems and data lakes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with executives, senior leaders, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Experience working in Agile enterprise environments.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and DevOps pipelines.
