Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer in the Engineering consulting industry in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

The Structural

Engineer supports industrial, mining, hydropower, and dam projects, delivering structural engineering services for concrete foundations and structural steel structures.

Responsibilities include structural analysis, layout development, and detailed design for multidisciplinary projects from concept through execution. The role prepares engineering calculations, technical specifications, reports, and data sheets while providing guidance to designers and junior engineers.

A typical day:

- Support project delivery by assisting with scope, budget, schedule, and resource coordination.
- Perform structural analysis and prepare engineering calculations for concrete and steel structures.
- Develop and maintain structural specifications, design criteria, standards, and engineering procedures.
- Prepare technical specifications, reports, memos, and project documentation.




- Contribute to capital cost estimates, operating cost assessments, and proposal development.
- Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards.
- Review and mentor the work of junior engineers, designers, technicians, and technologists.
- Manage small capital and maintenance projects, including scope definition, progress reporting, and document stamping where required.

Successful candidates will have:

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
- P.Eng. designation required (preferably Saskatchewan), or actively pursuing professional registration.
- 7+ years of structural engineering experience in industrial, mining, hydropower, or dam projects.
- Solid knowledge of structural design codes, engineering standards, and project execution workflows.
- Proficiency with STAAD.Pro; experience with Mathcad, SAP2000, and 3D data-centric design tools is an asset.
- Strong planning, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with engineering management systems, task delegation, and supervision of technical teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to HSEC standards and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
