We are a full-service lodge, providing meals, drinks, and private cabins to hikers. The lodge is only accessible by hiking and we receive our supplies by helicopter and horse packing.We are hiring a Backcountry Lodge Cook for the 2026 season (June 29-September 17). This role involves providing exceptional food service from a modest kitchen, ensuring customer satisfaction through quality meal preparation and attentive service.DutiesPrepare and curate a menu within a set cuisinePrepare and serve breakfast & dinner to groups between 10-20 peoplePrepare and assemble alternate food options for guests with dietary restrictions/allergiesHandle food safely and maintain cleanliness in food handling areasMaintain proper food storage and sanitation proceduresSet up dining areas, tables, and service stations for daily operationsCollaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate meal deliveryMonitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to managementRequirementsPrevious experience in food service, restaurants, or kitchen environments is preferredCulinary education and/or backcountry lodge kitchen experience is an assetAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detailA positive attitude, teamwork-oriented mindset, and solid communication skillsWe are a true backcountry lodge, meaning there is no road access, so candidates must be physically fit as this position requires hikingJob Type: SeasonalContract length: 12 weeksPay: $230.00 per dayBenefits:Casual dressDiscounted or free foodOn-site parkingAbility to commute/relocate:Jasper, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)Language:English (preferred)Work Location: In person
