ATS is looking for a Strategic Buyer to manage sourcing in our custom fabrication and machining sectors. Your procurement strategy will directly influence production timelines and efficiency. In this role, you will apply your purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting, focusing on selecting optimal subcontract vendors and ensuring alignment with company standards.
You'll handle everything from negotiating terms to evaluating vendor performance, all while adhering to ATS's high ethical standards and health safety regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage sourcing of subcontracted machining and fabrication work
- Negotiate with suppliers for best pricing and delivery terms
- Process purchasing documents accurately and timely
- Track deliveries to meet production schedules
- Maintain vendor relationships and evaluate performance Requirements:
- At least three years of purchasing experience
- Familiarity with engineering interpretation
- Solid skills in communication and negotiation
- Proficient in Excel and other MS Office tools
