Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our energetic HR team. In this role, you will drive the recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding, ensuring we attract top talent aligned with our company’s growth and culture. Your proactive approach will help us build a strong workforce capable of meeting our ambitious goals.

Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

- Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried positions.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand current and upcoming staffing requirements, position requirements and hiring priorities.
- Draft, review and maintain job descriptions and job advertisements.
- Post positions across appropriate job boards, recruitment platforms, social media and community channels.
- Proactively source qualified candidates for difficult-to-fill and recurring positions.
- Develop and maintain candidate pipelines for frequently recruited positions.
- Review resumes and applications against established position requirements.
- Conduct telephone, virtual and/or initial candidate interviews.
- Assess candidate qualifications, experience and suitability against established job requirements.
- Present qualified candidates to hiring managers with appropriate screening information.
- Coordinate interviews and maintain timely communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the selection process.
- Conduct reference checks and coordinate background checks where required.
- Prepare employment offers, employment agreements and pre-employment documentation in conjunction with Human Resources.
- Develop relationships with colleges, trade schools, employment organizations and other recruitment sources.
- Participate in job fairs, recruitment events and community outreach initiatives where appropriate.
- Coordinate recruitment agency relationships and agency activity where approved.

Recruitment Planning & Reporting

- Maintain an accurate and current list of open positions and recruitment priorities.
- Provide regular recruitment status updates to Human Resources and hiring managers.
- Track recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, candidate source, qualified candidate pipeline, offer acceptance and new-hire retention.




- Monitor the effectiveness of recruitment sources and recommend alternative sourcing strategies where required.
- Identify recurring recruitment challenges, skill shortages and difficult-to-fill positions.
- Support workforce planning by working with Human Resources and Operations to identify anticipated staffing requirements.

Onboarding & Employee Integration

- Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees.
- Prepare new-hire documentation and ensure required employment documentation is completed prior to or upon commencement of employment.
- Coordinate new-hire orientation with Human Resources, Operations and applicable departments.
- Ensure employees receive and acknowledge required company policies, procedures and documentation.
- Coordinate initial departmental and on-the-job training requirements with supervisors and managers.
- Ensure new employees are provided with a defined training and integration plan appropriate to their position.
- Conduct scheduled new-hire follow-ups during the probationary period.
- Identify and communicate concerns relating to training, performance, attendance or employee integration to the Director of Human Resources.

Training & Probationary Evaluation

- Work with supervisors and managers to coordinate and track new-hire training plans and competency requirements.
- Maintain training matrices, competency records and employee training documentation.
- Track required internal and external training, certifications and renewals.
- Monitor probationary milestones and ensure required employee evaluations are completed on schedule.
- Coordinate 30-, 60- and 90-day reviews or other established probationary evaluations.
- Follow up with supervisors regarding incomplete training or outstanding employee evaluations.
- Assist in identifying recurring training or skill gaps identified through onboarding and probationary evaluations.
- Provide relevant training and evaluation information to Human Resources to support workforce-development decisions.

Employee Development & Succession Planning Support

- Maintain accurate employee skills, training, certification and competency information.




- Assist Human Resources in identifying documented employee development and training requirements.
- Coordinate development activities and training identified by Human Resources and leadership.
- Maintain documentation relating to employee development plans and progression.
- Provide skills, competency, training and performance information required by the Director of Human Resources and leadership for succession-planning discussions.
- Support succession-planning initiatives administratively; responsibility for succession decisions and identification of successors remains with Human Resources and senior leadership.

HR Administration

- Maintain accurate and confidential recruitment, onboarding and employee documentation.
- Update HRIS and employee databases related to recruitment, onboarding, training and employee changes as required.
- Prepare employment-related correspondence and documentation within the scope of the position.
- Assist the Director of Human Resources with recruitment, onboarding, training and workforce-development initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding candidates and employees.
- Provide general Human Resources administrative support as operational requirements dictate.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience
- Proven experience in talent acquisition or human resources recruiting within a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with HR sourcing tools
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication abilities to engage candidates and hiring managers alike.
- Knowledge of employment laws and best practices related to recruiting and employee relations.
- Experience conducting interviews across various levels of an organization with a focus on building diverse teams.

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
