Team Lead I, Food & Beverage

The Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 invites applications for a Team Lead I, Food & Beverage. This position oversees daily food and beverage operations, including staff supervision, menu planning, food preparation, ordering, cost control, and food safety compliance. This position ensures quality service and customer satisfaction while supporting equipment maintenance and future food and beverage opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Plan, direct, and oversee all food preparation activities.
- Recruit, schedule, train and manage staff.
- Plan menu’s ensuring all aspects of the catering division align with food and beverage safety, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Assist, monitor and manage food orders, and cost controls.
- Prepare, cook, and work all areas of the kitchen as required.
- Deliver the highest quality of food safety.
- Organize and monitor equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Deliver exceptional product quality, service, and customer satisfaction.
- Perform other related duties within the scope of the position as required.





Qualifications

- Red Seal Chef will be considered an asset.
- Three or more years’ catering experience, supervisory, and budgeting experience required.
- In-depth knowledge and proven abilities in kitchen operations.
- Desire and commitment to exceeding guest expectations.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Leadership skills and the ability to develop, coach, train and motivate staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Food safety certificates.
- Pro Serve or ability to obtain.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to hold oneself accountable as well as others in the team.
- First Aid training.
- Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license in good standing.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
