Job Summary

The Team

The Surrey Provincial Court, Court Administration team is an established and diverse group of more than 72 employees dedicated to supporting access to justice for people across British Columbia. The team delivers registry and in-court services, manages case documentation, and provides critical adjudication support for criminal, youth, family, child protection, small claims, and traffic matters, working closely with judges and justice system partners.

The Role

As a Registry Clerk, you will provide essential administrative support across a variety of court services, including Adult Criminal, Youth, Traffic, Accounting, and Family matters. You will process court documentation, maintain accurate records in computerized case management systems, perform data entry and filing, and provide professional front-line service to members of the public and justice system partners.

Qualifications: Education and Experience Requirements

- Grade 12 or equivalent (e.g. GED).
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in an office workplace.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in keyboarding, data entry, word processing and standard computer applications.
- Experience with keyboarding at a minimum of 40 words per minute (WPM)
- An equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training may be considered

Preference may be given to applicants with:

- Experience with JUSTIN and/or CEIS and CCD.
- Experience or education in a related legal environment.
- Experience in registry and in court activity programs.
- May be required to work flexible hours, including varied shifts and overtime on short notice.
- May be required to travel, including travel in adverse weather conditions and work in other geographical areas,



including circuit court locations. Must have reliable transportation and/or be willing to travel with others.

About this Position:

This position requires full-time, in-person work at the physical location listed. This is a temporary opportunity until January 9th, 2028. This position may be extended or become permanent. An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and/or permanent vacancies.

A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required. Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
