Enhance community engagement as a Community Group Support Coordinator in Grande Prairie. This 12-month contract role focuses on empowering not-for-profits delivering cultural and recreational services. As part of the County of Grande Prairie’s Recreation and Culture department, this temporary full time position requires an individual who is passionate about community development.

The Coordinator will assist volunteer organizations in navigating grant programs, building capacities, and fostering effective partnerships. Work with directors and supervisors to coordinate community initiatives while ensuring adherence to local regulations. Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as primary contact for local community groups
- Provide support for grant applications and governance




- Assist in administrative functions for community services
- Facilitate collaboration with internal departments
- Support events and initiatives organized by the Recreation and Culture team Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in a related field preferred
- Experience working within not-for-profit sectors
- Familiar with Alberta regulations and Indigenous communities
- Some public facilitation experience is an asset
