Vertex is currently hiring a full-time 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic in Dawson Creek, BC. This role centers on providing maintenance for semi-trucks and trailers, ensuring their effective operation. As a valued member of our team, you will utilize your 3-4 years of mechanic experience, particularly in hydraulic and diesel engine repairs.

You will work autonomously, diagnosing problems and performing necessary repairs. This position blends hands-on mechanical work with a commitment to safety and quality. Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out scheduled maintenance on heavy-duty equipment
- Identify and repair mechanical issues in vehicles
- Efficiently operate and maintain hand tools
- Document and report all work performed
- Provide troubleshooting and emergency repair solutions Requirements:
- 3-4 years as a Heavy Duty Mechanic preferred
- Proficient in hydraulic and diesel repairs
- Class 5 License with an excellent driving record
- Valid First Aid and H2S alive safety certificates considered beneficial
