The Winter Roads Labourer is responsible for supporting the construction and maintenance of municipal roads, ditches, sidewalks, water, sewer, and sanitation services.

Responsibilities

- winter control operations
- installation and removal of snow fencing
- traffic control
- safety inspections
- accurate record keeping

Key Qualifications

- OSSD or equivalent Minimum of 6 months’ experience
- Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License with DZ Endorsement
- Previous road maintenance experience would be an asset
- Technical knowledge of protected work practices
- Ability to operate hand tools and equipment
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Teamwork and cooperation

This is a full-time, seasonal position working from October 2026 through to April 2027. The position works 40 hours per week. The wage range is $31.29 per hour with eligibility for the OMERS Pension Plan.
