About the Role

Our client is seeking an inspiring and dedicated Youth Mentor and Support Worker to join their fully remote team, serving young people in the Kimberley area. This role focuses on providing guidance, support, and encouragement to youth, helping them develop essential life skills, overcome challenges, and pursue their aspirations. You will work closely with young individuals, building positive relationships and acting as a role model to foster their personal growth and resilience. Key Responsibilities

- Provide one-on-one mentoring and support to assigned youth, focusing on goal setting and personal development.
- Assist youth in developing life skills such as problem-solving, communication, and decision-making.
- Connect youth with relevant resources and opportunities, including educational, vocational, and recreational programs.
- Act as a positive role model, demonstrating ethical behavior and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
- Conduct regular check-ins and progress monitoring through virtual platforms (phone, video calls,



messaging).
- Collaborate with other support staff, educators, and family members (where appropriate) to create a supportive network for the youth.

Requirements

- A diploma or certificate in Youth Work, Social Sciences, Education, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with young people in a mentoring, coaching, or support capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and positive relationships with teenagers.
- Understanding of adolescent development and common challenges faced by youth.
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using virtual communication tools and maintaining digital records.
