Location: Scarborough, Ontario (Morningside Road & Guildwood Parkway area) Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, approximately 4 hours per day Schedule: Primarily mornings / late morning to early afternoon Employment Type: Part-time About the Role We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Domestic Helper / Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide part time support to an elderly couple in their Scarborough home. Our father has mobility challenges related to spinal stenosis and may increasingly require assistance with mobility and personal care. Our mother is in the early stages of dementia and has considerable hearing loss. We are looking for someone patient, observant, and respectful who can help both parents maintain their independence, dignity, safety, and quality of life. Key Responsibilities • Provide compassionate day-to-day support and companionship to both parents • Follow recipes and prepare meals suited to our parents' tastes and dietary needs • Experience cooking South Asian / East Indian food is strongly preferred • Provide housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, tidying, and changing linens • Grocery shop and run household errands,



including picking up prescriptions • Water plants and assist with basic gardening as needed • Support our father with mobility and, as his needs evolve, assist with getting safely around the home and to/from the bathroom • Provide gentle support to our mother with forgetfulness, confusion, and daily routines • Engage our mother in conversation and activities such as arts and crafts or playing cards • Drive our parents to appointments, banking, shopping, and other activities as required • Use the family's car for work-related driving, or your own vehicle if preferred • Communicate any concerns about changes in our parents' well-being to family members Qualifications • PSW certification or equivalent caregiving qualification is an asset • Experience caring for seniors, particularly in a private home • Experience with mobility limitations and dementia / Alzheimer's care strongly preferred • Valid Ontario driver's licence and clean driving record • Patient, compassionate, dependable, trustworthy, and comfortable working independently • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect our parents' privacy and dignity • References and background check required • Ability to speak Gujarati is highly preferred
