Position: Senior Accountant

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced senior accountant to join our team. Reporting directly to the President, the senior accountant will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth and profitability. This position will be 100% in-office, located in the Norwester Industrial Area, NW Edmonton.

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee all financial operations of SWS Marine Group, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

· Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.

· Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

· Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and business planning.

· Manage the preparation of financial statements,



reports, and audits.

· Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial goals, objectives and controls.

· Monitor and manage cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

· Lead and mentor the accounting team to achieve accurate financial statements within due dates established by ownership.

Qualifications:

· Education in Accounting, along with experience in accounting management.

· Strong knowledge of financial regulations, standards, and best practices.

· Interprovincial knowledge and/or experience with accounting and financial legislations would be considered an asset.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

· Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

· Experience with Lightspeed DMS would be considered an asset

Dealership experience would be considered an asset
