Become a Wellness Activities Assistant at The Emerald, where you will lead enriching programs like fitness, music, and crafts for residents. Foster well-being and participation in a caring community.

This position, reporting to the Wellness Coordinator, focuses on implementing various resident-centered activation programs. Ideal candidates will have a two-year Therapeutic Recreation diploma and experience in a long-term care context. Your work will empower residents through activities that support their cognitive and physical abilities while collaborating with the Wellness Manager on care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct sports, arts, and cognitive activities for residents
- Perform protected transfers and support mobility




- Ensure residents have necessary assistive hardware
- Plan and promote local community events
- Observe residents’ changes and document accordingly

Requirements:

- Two years in a recognized Therapeutic Recreation Program
- Recent experience in long-term care settings
- Class 4 vehicle license preferred
- Current First Aid/CPR certification required
- Specialized dementia programming training preferred
