Additional responsibilities may also be required in Elmira.Reporting to the Shop Foreman, the Licensed Technician (Mechanic) is responsible for the day-to-day preventative and post-incident repairs of a large fleet of commercial vehicles. This fast-paced, but diligent role will diagnose and carry out all repairs for mechanical issues and problems discovered in various commercial School Buses and civilian class vehicles. The incumbent will maintain a strong sense of customer service while interacting with various stakeholders, School Bus Drivers, Dispatchers, Managers, Peer Mechanics, Apprentices and Governmental Agencies.Compensation: $38.00 - $40.97 per hourJob Duties:- Perform Brake and Safety Inspections and carry out preventative maintenance- Ensure all vehicle inspections are completed in a timely fashion each month- Perform service calls and cold starts as required- Ensure you have knowledge of our safety policies and adhere to them- Perform additional vehicle repairs as needed- Adhere to compliance-based regulations from a Company, Federal,
