Our Transmission group is currently looking to add aConstruction Project Managerto our growing team to support a large project in Southern Ontario. Reporting to theProject Director, we are seeking experienced Project Managers with strong leadership, commercial acumen, and utility construction experience. This is a site-based leadership role that will initially help manage a large Transmission project in Southern Ontario and drive consistency in execution, financial performance, and client delivery. It plays a key role in strengthening project governance and ensuring alignment with Valard's safety, quality, and operational standards.Please note: this is a site-based position that will require the successful candidate to be at the Project site in regular shift rotations. Travel (including flights, accommodations and vehicles) will be provided.Duties And ResponsibilitiesLead project on-site delivery, ensuring alignment to scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality expectationsIn partnership with the site Construction leadership team deliver project in accordance with Client and Company expectationsManage and be accountable to the Project contract, issue and manage subcontractsMentor and develop Assistant Project Managers to build leadership capability and bench strengthOversee project financial performance including forecasting, margin management, and cash flow optimizationGovern risk, change management, and contract administration to protect commercial positionBuild and maintain robust client relationships, supporting strategic growth and repeat businessCoordinate resources, equipment,



and procurement strategies across projects to optimize efficiencyDrive continuous improvement, lessons learned, and best practice sharing across projectsEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards across all workSupport bid reviews, constructability input, and alignment between estimating and executionRequirementsPost-Secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or a related field10 years of progressive experience in utility or linear infrastructure constructionProven experience managing large-scale, complex projectsAdvanced understanding of contract management, project controls, and financial performanceExperience leading teams and mentoring project staffPMP designation or equivalentKnowledge of commercial strategy, contract design, claims management, and dispute resolutionUnderstanding of organizational risk management, insurance, and contractual risk mitigationPreferred Skills / QualificationsExperience in transmission, distribution, or substation projectsStrong knowledge of scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project) and ERP systemBenefitsThis position offers a base salary range of$140 000 - $190 000annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
