This job specifically seeks a certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) who will support clients with daily personal care needs and activities of daily living.QualificationsCurrent Personal Support Worker (PSW) certification obtained through successfully completing a PSW training program from an accredited/recognized institution.Minimum of one (1)



year of demonstrated and related work experience with health and social services.Completed vulnerable sector check and CPIC.Solid knowledge and awareness of Indigenous culture and history.Knowledge of Long Term Care and Indigenous peoples.Spoken and written English; the ability to speak Cree is an asset.Willingness to work flexible hours.Awareness of the Friendship movement, its aims and objectives.Registered membership with the Ontario Personal Support Worker Association (OPSWA) or equivalent is strongly encouraged.Valid driver’s license.Valid CPR/AED-Level C Certification.Updated immunization record with a negative TB test completed within the last 12 months will be requested upon hiring.Ability to lift approximately 55 pounds, complete physically demanding tasks, frequent movements such as climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, etc.Working within clients’ homes and ability to travel.Ability to accompany/transport client to appointments while working within clients’ homes.Working HoursWorks a flexible 35 hour work week. It is mandatory to ensure the program consists of a minimum of two (2) evening or weekend programming per month. Salary range $60,000-$65,000.
