Asphalt Roller Operator

LTR Contracting Corp. is seeking an experienced Asphalt Roller Operator to join our paving crew.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating asphalt rollers to achieve proper compaction and a high-quality finished surface on paving projects. Applicants should have a robust understanding of asphalt paving procedures, rolling patterns, compaction requirements, and how to work efficiently alongside the paver and paving crew.

Responsibilities
Operate roller compaction equipment to ensure proper gravel and asphalt density for paving projects
Use skidsteer for material handling, site clearing, and grade work
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on heavy machinery to ensure safe operation
Support construction crews with labour tasks such as shovelling, material delivery, plate packing, site cleanup, etc
Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for all team members




Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards

Experience
Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as rollers, skid steers, or similar machinery in a construction setting
Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
Construction experience with paving or roadwork projects preferred
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent certification is an asset but not required
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
Familiarity with safety procedures on construction sites is highly valued
