Red Seal Truck and Equipment Repair is looking for a welder with heavy duty mechanic experience who can start as soon as possible.

Under the general direction of the Shop Foremen, the mechanic/welder will utilize journeyman/journeywoman level technical knowledge and expertise to perform complex mechanical and electrical tasks in repair, maintenance and inspection with minimal supervision. All tasks and assignments must follow established procedures in a professional, protected and cost-effective manner.
Perform all welding related duties
Ability to perform detail diagnostics
Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems and recommend custom solutions
Demonstrates the ability to plan and prioritize work and material requirements and operate independently,
work on service-call at different locations
Expected to plan and supervise the activities of junior staff assigned to them.
Expected to play a leading role in implementing and promoting workplace safety and professionalism and recommend positive workplace change
Demonstrate ability to read and understand written instructions, write job reports, work-order summaries and other record-keeping functions.
Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems (troubleshoot).




Demonstrates self-control under pressure and maintains a positive attitude towards fellow employees.
Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a team environment, exercise valuable judgment and common sense and conduct him/herself in a qualified manner.
Demonstrates good interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Must be physically fit and of reasonable strength and endurance to perform the duties required truck/trailer shop operation.
Able to perform duties in all weather conditions
Full understanding of all relevant safety and compliance regulations, policies and generally accepted work practices relating to on-road Truck/Trailer shop operations.
Full understanding of all elements of the job (shop safety, shop work practices, mechanical systems, use of all hand and power)
Computer/keyboarding skills and a basic understanding of computer system
Engine diagnostic experience on all kind of trucks is an asset.
Minimum 3 years experience required.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time Pay: $37.00-$48.00 per hour
