United Roofers Inc. is hiring experienced shinglers and dependable roofing labourers for projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area. We are looking for reliable, safety-conscious individuals who take pride in quality workmanship and can work effectively as part of a roofing crew.

Shingler Responsibilities
Remove and dispose of existing roofing materials
Install asphalt shingles, starter shingles, underlayment and ice-and-water membrane
Install valleys, vents, plumbing flashings, drip edge and other roofing components
Complete accurate cuts, details and finishing work
Identify damaged roof decking and other potential issues
Follow manufacturer specifications and company installation standards
Maintain a clean and secure jobsite

Roofing Labourer Responsibilities
Load, unload and organize roofing materials
Carry shingles, tools and debris safely
Assist roofers with removal and installation work
Perform ground cleanup and protect customers’ properties
Keep tools, equipment, ladders and work areas organized




Follow instructions from the crew leader and observe all safety requirements

Requirements
Shinglers must have previous asphalt-shingle roofing experience
Labouring or construction experience is an asset for labourer applicants
Comfortable working outdoors, at heights and in changing weather conditions
Physically capable of lifting roofing materials and performing demanding work
Reliable, punctual and able to work well with a crew
Robust attention to safety and workmanship
Valid Ontario Working at Heights certification is preferred
Driver’s licence and reliable transportation are preferred
