TRNT Educational Institute is seeking a HOSA Competition Coach / Medical Competition Mentor to support high school students interested in medicine, health sciences, biomedical sciences, and related fields.

The role will focus on competition preparation while also helping students develop stronger academic, research, presentation, and project-based skills

Responsibilities
Help students select suitable HOSA competitive events based on their interests and strengths
Develop structured preparation plans for individual students and competition teams
Provide instruction and coaching in areas such as:
Medical Terminology
Anatomy & Physiology
Biomedical and Health Sciences
Public Health
Medical Innovation
Research and Presentation
Leadership and Team Events
Coach students in case analysis, project development, presentations, and competition strategy
Conduct mock competitions and provide targeted feedback
Support students in developing medicine-related projects, research experience, and extracurricular activities where appropriate

Qualifications
Familiarity with HOSA – Future Health Professionals competitions
Previous HOSA participation,



competition, coaching, judging, or leadership experience is strongly preferred
Background in medicine, nursing, biology, biomedical sciences, public health, or another health-related field
Research, clinical, healthcare, or medical project experience is an asset
Ability to mentor high school students in research, presentations, projects, and competition preparation
Solid communication, mentoring, and organizational skills
Passion for helping students explore medicine and health sciences

Part time / Contract
Online or in-person in Vancouver
One-on-one, small-group, and team coaching opportunities
Adaptable scheduling based on competition timelines and student needs

Compensation: Competitive and based on qualified background, competition experience, and teaching experience. Interested candidates are invited to submit a resume/CV along with a brief introduction to their HOSA, medical, research, or mentoring experience.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
