Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various products and components, ensuring high-quality results that meet safety and aesthetic standards. Your mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and familiarity with manufacturing processes will be essential to your success.

Duties
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
Apply paint, stains, varnishes, or coatings using brushes, rollers, spray guns, or other power tools with precision and consistency
Operate equipment such as cranes and forklifts safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas during painting tasks
Use basic math skills to measure surfaces accurately and mix paints or coatings to specified formulas
Follow lean manufacturing principles to streamline workflow, reduce waste, and improve efficiency in painting processes
Conduct inspections of finished work for quality assurance,



ensuring smooth finishes without drips or imperfections
Maintain a clean work area by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials in accordance with safety guidelines

Skills
Mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools and power tools for surface preparation and finishing
Ability to operate cranes and forklifts safely within a manufacturing setting
Solid understanding of manufacturing workflows and lean principles to optimize productivity
Familiarity with machining processes and assembly techniques relevant to painted components
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and mixing paints or coatings accurately
Knowledge of welding techniques is a plus for surface repairs or modifications before painting
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control throughout each stage of the painting process
